1. Pages Okra Grill: What more can I really say other than, run, as fast as you can to Pages for good home cooking. Locally owned, this diner has never disappointed. We love their breakfast (bacon everything) and their amazing customer service. Located in Mt Pleasant, you will want to arrive early as the line is usually pretty solid in the summer months. With awesome outdoor eating, be sure to grab some of their homemade desserts. In the fall, we are partial to their Pumpkin Pie, but I've also been known to eat a slice (or two) of the Peanut Butter Pie.
2. Husk: Local ingredients plus a menu that changes everyday, you've found a real southern treat in Husk. We are faithful to their bacon cornbread (anyone sensing a bacon theme?). Husk is definitely our go-to celebratory meal establishment and our highest recommendation for out of town guests wanting a real culinary treat.
3. Waters Edge (brunch!) Nestled in the heart of Shem Creek, you will find Mt Pleasant's best kept Sunday brunch secret in Waters Edge. Take in the sights and sounds of the water while eating a 16 dollar all you can eat breakfast buffet. Come hungry because Water's Edge will fill you up through dinner time. A side bonus is you can snag 2 dollar mimosas to go along with all those carbs.
4. Pane e Vino: In the mood for some romance? We've fallen in love with this tiny Italian family owned restaurant in downtown Charleston. With it's twinkly lights and majestic garden, the beautiful atmosphere is complimentary to the delicious meal.
