Emmanuel 9 Remembered

Charleston, SC has been the recent site of yet another horrific violent crime in our nation.  My office is located quite close to Mother Emmanuel Church and the weeks following the attack, thousands flocked to this part of Charleston to pay their respects.  I was able to document the church and it's overflowing memorial.

Each ribbon stood for one victim o the Emmanuel 9.  Many loved ones and friends left personal items or memorial notes to their specific loved one near their bow.

The women in the foreground of this photo stopped to pray with one another.  This photo was just days after the attack when they had finally let the public approach the church.

This note was left from individuals in Littleton, CO.  What an incredible reminder of the shared grief the country felt in all these tragedies.

This 2014 Boston Marathon medal was left on the fence by the church.  It was mostly overlooked but I wondered the story behind this touching ofference.

A bride and her bridal party left their bouquets following her wedding-what a touching memorial.
